Dr Amanda Begley
Amanda Begley represents UCLPartners on the DATA-CAN management group, as the host organisation. She is also the co-founder and National Director for the NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA). Within her roles, Amanda’s focus is on building partnerships and expertise to deliver innovation at scale and pace for patient, population and NHS benefit.
Amanda is a Fellow at the Centre for the Advancement of Sustainable Medical Innovation (CASMI), a Non-Executive Director on the Royal College of General Practitioners’ Innovation and Research Board and member of the Women in Life Sciences Forum.
Following her PhD, Amanda joined the NHS as an Assistant and Trainee Clinical Psychologist. She has worked as a commissioner and senior manager across primary, community and secondary care, and as Head of Innovation at London’s Strategic Health Authority. While at UCLPartners, Amanda completed a Fellowship at GSK and was named in the NHS 70 Women Leader Awards.
