Prabhu Arumugam

Prabhu Arumugam is the Genomics Lead for DATA-CAN and the Strategic Partnerships Director at Genomics England.

Prabs joined Genomics England in 2019 with a key focus on improving cancer clinical data and multimodal diagnostics in cancer for Genomics England.

He is experienced in managing and interpreting healthcare data, supporting commercial and academic stakeholders to understand and translate the complex genomic and clinical data into actionable patient outcomes. Developing frameworks for data extraction and designing strategy and operational skills to engage data suppliers and users. Currently leading on the delivery of Digital pathology and Radiology for Genomics England with a view to improving clinical data and advocating precision health.

Prior to this, Prabs started his medical career at Barts and the London Medical School and completed his PhD in pancreatic pathology at the Barts Cancer Institute. After a short period as a surgical trainee, he then entered Histopathology training.
