The DATA-CAN Network

DATA-CAN is a unique, and growing, partnership of NHS organisations, patients, charities, academia and industry working across all four nations of the United Kingdom.
DATA-CAN is one of the Health Data Research UK hubs. We are a non-profit collaboration initially formed by six founding partners in London, Belfast and Leeds. Over the last year we have welcomed new associate partners and we have ambitious plans to expand. Click below to read more about our partners and their contribution to DATA-CAN.

    UCLPartners is a leading health innovation partnership.
  • Genomics England
    Established in 2013, Genomics England was set up to deliver the flagship 100,000 Genomes Project.
  • IQVIA
    As a founding partner of DATA-CAN, IQVIA is committed to working in collaboration with NHS Trusts to develop the Cancer Data Network.
  • Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust
    Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is one of the largest and busiest acute hospital trusts in the UK.
  • Queen’s University Belfast
    Queen’s University Belfast is a member of the Russell Group of the UK’s leading research-intensive universities.
  • NHS Lothian and the University of Edinburgh
    The University of Edinburgh and NHS Lothian joined DATA-CAN as Associate Partners in September 2021.
  • University of Exeter
    The University of Exeter joined DATA-CAN as an Associate Partner in March 2021.
  • Swansea University
    Swansea University, represented by Population Data Science at Swansea University Medical School, joined as an Associate Partner in March 2022.
  • University of Leeds
    The University of Leeds is one of the largest higher education institutions in the UK.
